GOLF SCHEDULER PROJECT

We will have 3 different types of courses. The Public course which will only have an admin login. The index page will be the user_calender with a login button for the administrator. The Private/Public course's index page is shown in the attached document public_private_login which will have a member login for private members or a link for non-members which will point to a public calendar. Private members of a private/public course may have privileges that the course doesn't want the public to see so they will log into a different area. The private course will have a login, which takes you to the calendar. All of these pages must have a section in the admin where the course can upload there own images for the index page.

Top menu bar on the admin section currently has these links:

This is the new admin section menu bar. Only admins that log in will see these links:
  • Tee Time Schedule
  • Event Schedule
  • Event Scheduler
  • Club Members
  • Edit Member Information
When a member logs in he will not see the admin menu, it will be gone. The day, week, month, and help menu will come up where the admin section used to be and be right under the banners giving more room under the schedule. There will be no Year on the menu.

Event Scheduler
This works exactly how the scheduler link on the first smart planner works. All we need to change on this is we need more icons. A golf ball, flag (golf flag), and a golf club. Anything dealing with golf.

Event Schedule
This changes the schedule to the events the golf course has made. It does the same thing that the calendar link does on smart-planner. You can click on stuff to see the event, edit it, etc. The main purpose of this is link/button is to switch to a different calendar.

Club Members
This shows the club members. It's basically the same thing as contacts. Right next to edit we'll need a view link to view the Club Members information in a neat orderly fashion. We'll also need to replace the Nick category with ID, which will be the member's ID that they log into the schedule with to reserve tee times.

BACKEND CHANGES

When creating a new calendar from the admin section the add category and the Company Name is always black along with the text on Smart Groups, Event Scheduler, and Contact. You cannot use a black background or any dark background for this purpose. We need to have control over more text colors instead of white, black, and also having control over the font color of the Event Scheduler, and Contact. The Company Name when creating a new category in the Admins section is always black as well.

When you look at the month logged in you'll see that the color of the spaces where there are no dates it's the same color as the Left menu color (IE. If the month started on a Saturday, Monday through Friday would all be the color of the Left menu color). The left menu color also is the background color of the weeks and days. We need an option to change these colors as well.

There's an extra row when you look at weeks (See http://www.smart-planner.com/pgavillage1/. Username: pga1 Password: pga) and a blue side line on the left side going up the left side of the weekly calendar with a white line coming out of the middle left side.

In the Admins section you should have the option of what kind of golf courses you want to setup whether they be a private golf course, public golf course, or a private/public golf course. Private golf courses would require a member ID login. Public golf courses would not need this option and private/public golf courses we need the option of a Private member login or just Public access on the front page.

An option after you choose what kind of golf course it will be (private, public, or both private/public) there will be another option of how many golf courses are on the golf course and then what the names will be. Also options for adding tennis calendars, dining calendars, and any other calendars need to be added.

We'll need an option of how the site will communicate with the golf course's computer. Whether it's a Smith system that connects to the server, credit card orders, or another way of communication to the site. I think we're going to need these options on the admin section when we figure out what these options will be.

Scheduler, Smart Group Events, and Event Scheduler should all be removed from the bottom of all pages and a color choice of what the background color of a scheduled event should be added to the admin section.

There should be an option for the time limit between each tee off time. Starting with 5 minutes and then going up by one to 15 minutes. There should also be an option for when the golf course opens. I'm sure the time varies for closing times but I'm pretty sure the opening time is always the same. Now this will affect the way the day schedule looks. Smart planner right now only goes by hours of the day. The tee off time will affect how many events you can put in those hours. So hence if the limit between each tee time is 7 minutes and the course opens at 7am, the first tee time will be at 7am, the next will be at 7:07am etc. This will make the day calendar longer. That is why I feel we need the time limit for tee off times in the Admins section.

DAILY TEE SCHEDULE PAGE

The user will view a table of times and availability. The times will be in increments between 7 and 10 minute. Next to the time will be the availability slots open for that particular time. Each time will only allow up to 4 players to make a reservation. If there is 4 players already reserved on a time the user will not be allowed to click on a link. If only 1 user has made a reservation then the availability for that time will be 3 slots open. We need to be able to record a reservation made so the user knows if there is availability on a specific time. Once all 4 reservations have been made the user will not be able to click on that time.

Admin Section for Tee Schedule:

The admin will be able to set the incrementation of times. If he wants to set them on a 10 min increment on Monday to Friday and a 7 min. increment on Saturday and Sunday he can do so. If the admin would like to hide a certain time for instance 7-12 on Tuesdays for coarse maintenance he can do so. If the admin would like to lock out a whole day for a tournament he can do so. The admin will be able to set the time span to make reservations. For instance if the coarse only requires to make a reservation between the hours of 7 and 2 he will be able to do so.

RESERVATION FORM

When a user clicks on a time it will take them to a reservation form. This is where the user will fill in the names of players reserving tee times. Keep in mind we will be designing this program for 3 types of courses (see admin section). Once form is submitted it will be posted so administrator can view all information on form. { See Attached Screen Shot } Admin Section for Reservation Form: The admin will be able to set 3 different reservation forms. Public Course, Private/Public Course and Private Course.
  1. Public reservation form will have a payment option of Credit Card only.

  2. Public/Private will have the payment option of Credit Card for the non-member or they will just enter there member ID.

  3. Private courses will only have to enter there member ID they will not have a Credit Card option.
The administrator will be able to view every reservation made for any specific day. When the admin clicks on a time he will be able to view the reservation for that specific time.
